Alicia is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 23 years of experience in the dental field. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College in Washington State and later followed with a degree in Dental Hygiene from Lake Washington College in Seattle. Alicia was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and is thrilled to have made her life on the North Shore for the past ten years. We are very fortunate to have someone with such a vast knowledge and experience in dentistry as well as in working in different environments and conditions as Alicia. Her expertise and calm demeanour instill confidence and create a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in her dental chair. Alicia says that what makes our office unique among the offices she has worked with in the past is the emphasis we place on open communication not only with our patients but also between each other. This openness creates an atmosphere of honesty, mutual respect and trust what is a condition for successful relationships with our colleagues and our patients. Alicia also recognizes the high value of education and is an avid and lifelong learner. Above all, Alicia is committed to providing gentle, caring and individualized dental hygiene care. She, her husband and their young daughter enjoy the outdoors and all that BC has to offer.
Isaa Memisevic is our affiliated Registered Denturist. He has strong ties to the North Shore as he was raised in North Vancouver and attended Capilano University studying Philosophy and Sociology. He graduated from the Denturist program at the Vancouver Community College and has been practising as a Denturist since. Isaa owns his own clinic and lab in the Metrotown area. As a service to our patients who have difficulty with mobility, Isaa comes to our clinic each Monday. His expertise and knowledge in the field of Removable Dental Prosthetics are adding another crucial component to our philosophy of comprehensive patient care. He works closely with Drs. Bach and Petersen. Our patients find this collaboration very valuable as they get all the information about various treatment options and modalities directly from both, the Dentist and the Denturist, at the same time. Since this partnering has begun, we have had great responses from our patients who are very happy with the removable dentures and level of care they receive from Isaa. We hear compliments about how friendly he is and how he always takes time to answer all the questions. Isaa says that the most satisfying moments for him are when his patients see their brand new, beautifully transformed smile in the mirror for the first time. We enjoy the happy chatting we hear when he is in the office. In the rare occasions when he is not working in the office or laboratory, Isaa enjoys travelling to different tropical locations, playing sports and enjoying the beautiful North Shore.
Kim started working in the dental field when she was 18 years old. Her sunny outlook, kind heart and commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care are resulting in constant compliments from Dr. Petersen’s patients. Kim is an integral and invaluable part of our dental team. She makes it seem effortless to treat our patients as if they are all her family. As someone with most experience among all of us, she knows all those complicated insurance plans sometimes better than the Insurance people themselves. When a patient with an emergency needs to be accommodated, Kim is known to use her magical powers to rearrange Dr. Petersen’s schedule and somehow create a half an hour spot for the emergency in even the busiest of the days. Kim is a great source of knowledge and advice to our patients, but also to all of us in the office. We all learn from her every day. Kim has an enormous heart and is never too busy for a kind word. Even when she is not in the office she doesn’t stop working as she cares for her dad, helps with her great nephew, and is best friends with her son. Kim enjoys taking her dog for walks on the North Shore, where Nekà jumps into the biggest mud puddles she can find. She dreams of retiring on a tropical island.
Breanne always knew that she wanted to work in the dental field. Her biggest inspiration was her mother who genuinely loved her Dental Assisting job in Campbell River. Breanne grew up on Vancouver Island then moved to Toronto directly after graduating high school to complete the Dental Hygiene program. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2010 and with Valley Centre Dental Group since 2013. Breanne is known by our patients for her gentle touch and cheerful attitude. Her profound ability to be empathetic with the needs and concerns of our clients results with the patients instantly feeling at ease with her. Her greatest reward is seeing a patient who comes in with dental anxiety and fear of the dental office evolving into a person that is happy and comfortable with the dental work. Breanne says that she enjoys the most the family atmosphere of our practice along with the pristine view of nature through the office windows. Breanne is an avid dog lover and she is always happy to share a story about her Pug/Boston Terrier Draper.
Erica’s passion for dentistry stems from her love of making people smile. Erica has been practicing as a Certified Dental Assistant for the past 10 years. Besides her knowledge and interest in dental procedures and the clinical part of the job, Erica has always been trying to improve efficiency and organization in our clinic. Wanting to know better how things work at the “front end’, she learned the aspects and peculiarities of the receptionist’s job. Her knowledge and experience in clinical dentistry, office administration, treatment planning, her commitment to our patients, loyalty, attention to detail and mentorship of her fellow team members helped her evolve into the role of Treatment Co-ordinator within our office. Above all, Erica finds it rewarding seeing people smile with trust and confidence when they leave our office. She is known for her use of ‘dad jokes’ when nothing else works. When asked why she loves working with Valley Centre Dental, she says: “I have complete confidence and trust in Dr. Bach’s work. His ethics, clinical and cosmetic expertise and commitment to excellence give me confidence in referring my friends and family. His generosity within the community of Lynn Valley makes me very proud to be a part of this exceptional team of dental professionals.” Outside of dentistry, Erica volunteers her time in a community garden, travels and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and rescue cat Lux.

My name is Jennifer. I will be your first port of call when you contact our office. I have worked as a receptionist in dentistry for over 6 years, first in the UK and now with Dr. Bach. I enjoy working for Dr. Bach as he is a very hardworking and supportive boss who goes above and beyond helping our patients and the community. I really enjoy being a part of a team that is non-judgemental and that is oriented into creating and maintaining a humanistic, friendly atmosphere in the workplace. I love my job and enjoy helping people deciphering and better understanding their Insurance plans. I live with my family in North Vancouver and I am so happy when our patients recognize me outside of the office, in a park or in a store while buying groceries. We are truly a family dental practice as we serve many families from great grandparents all the way down to their youngest great grandbabies!
I have also recently become the proud mammy of a beautiful little boy and that keeps me very busy!
I look forward to meeting and seeing you soon!
My name is Genevieve. I have had the pleasure of being part of the Valley Centre Dental Group team since 2005. I have been a Dental Hygienist for over 20 years since I graduated from St-Hyacinthe College, in Quebec in 1996 and completed my Local Anesthetic Licence at UBC in 1999. I love helping our patients obtain their perfect smiles and healthy mouth. Being able to achieve that in a warm and friendly atmosphere where their comfort and wellbeing are the main concerns is, in my opinion, a formula for a perfect dental experience. Knowing that I am a part of a team that shares these views and treatment philosophies makes me grateful and appreciative of my workplace and my colleagues. I could not imagine a better place to work. In order to serve my patients with the best and most updated treatments and advice, I make great emphasis in staying up to date by attending various continuing educations courses and lectures. Besides dentistry, another passion of mine is my family! I have a lovely husband and am also a proud mother of a gorgeous little boy. In my free time I enjoy hiking, training, travelling, healthy eating and cooking for my family and friends.
Esther was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She and her family moved to Langley in 2012. Esther completed her Certified Dental Assistant Program at VCC in 2015, and joined our team in February of 2016. Since then she has grown into a competent and skilled dental assistant. As she has become so familiar with the procedures and the way Dr. Bach works, she can almost always accurately anticipate what instrument or material will be needed in the next step of the procedure. Even Dr. Bach recently half-jokingly said how he’s getting “scared” as Esther has developed the ability to read his mind when they are working together. Esther’s strong work ethic and desire to be helpful make her an important member of our team. Being the youngest in the office, she often lifts up everyone’s spirits and energy, especially during those grey winter days. With her friendly disposition, she helps our patients to relax and to go through their dental treatment with ease and less anxiety. Travelling and helping people being her passion, Esther’s most cherished memories are of her time spent overseas. She has enjoyed volunteering and helping the less fortunate in Uganda. She has also travelled to South Africa, Ukraine, and several other European countries. When not at work or travelling, Esther enjoys spending time with her family and friends, kayaking, snowboarding and most of all playing with her dog Minnie.
