Ivana
Read Bio
Ivana was born in Europe and moved to Canada at 6 years of age. As a child, she was always fascinated with teeth and dentistry so the Dental Hygiene program felt like a perfect match after high school. She started in the dental field in 2013 and ever since Ivana’s passion for dentistry has been complemented by her desire to connect with patients and provide individualized care. Besides the social interaction with the patients, her favourite part of the day is seeing someone who followed her hygiene advice and feels the improvement in her or his oral health. A positive attitude goes a long way as a dental hygienist. Many of our patients love Ivana’s energetic, friendly and outgoing personality and this, in turn, eases their stress of visiting our dental office.
Her biggest pleasure outside the office are playing with her Maltese Bichon dog Teddy and travelling to different countries to learn about new cultures and traditions.

Breanne always knew that she wanted to work in the dental field. Her biggest inspiration was her mother who genuinely loved her Dental Assisting job in Campbell River. Breanne grew up on Vancouver Island then moved to Toronto directly after graduating high school to complete the Dental Hygiene program. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2010 and with Valley Centre Dental Group since 2013. Breanne is known by our patients for her gentle touch and cheerful attitude. Her profound ability to be empathetic with the needs and concerns of our clients results with the patients instantly feeling at ease with her. Her greatest reward is seeing a patient who comes in with dental anxiety and fear of the dental office evolving into a person that is happy and comfortable with the dental work. Breanne says that she enjoys the most the family atmosphere of our practice along with the pristine view of nature through the office windows. Breanne is an avid dog lover and she is always happy to share a story about her Pug/Boston Terrier Draper.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with her husband and three kids at the lake. In 2020, she successfully competed in the Peek to Creek ski race in Whistler.

Nicola K.

Nicola was born and raised in North Vancouver and she is now raising her own family beneath the North Shore Mountains. She graduated from Argyle Secondary in 1988 and continued her schooling at the Dental Hygiene program in Victoria, BC. As a new hygienist, she alternated between working and traveling. Her curiosity of the world brought her first to Europe and then to Central America, South America, India, Nepal, and South East Asia. She has been working on the North Shore since 1999 and is excited to now be part of the office she went to as a child!
Nicola is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable dental hygienists that you will meet. She is excellent with people who may be afraid of coming into the dental office and will be understanding about their fears. She makes patients feel relaxed and comfortable and fully explains the heath-based motivation behind everything she does. She is committed to moving beyond the traditional “brush and floss” lecture to finding what works best for each individual in achieving optimal health not only for the mouth but also for the entire body. Nicola’s interest in continuing to learn about findings in dentistry benefits her patients as she enjoys ensuring we are taking advantage of technological advances.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and puppy Jellybean!

Esther
Read Bio
Esther was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She and her family moved to Langley in 2012. Esther completed her Certified Dental Assistant Program at VCC in 2015, and joined our team in February of 2016. Since then, she has grown into a very competent and skilled dental assistant. She has become so familiar with the procedures and the different ways our dentists work, she can almost always accurately anticipate what instrument or material will be needed in the next step of the procedure. Even Dr. Bach recently half-jokingly said how he’s getting “scared” as Esther has developed the ability to read his mind when they are working together. Esther’s strong work ethic and desire to be helpful make her an important member of our team. Being one of the youngest members of our office, she often lifts up everyone’s spirits and energy, especially during those grey winter days. With her friendly disposition, she helps our patients to relax and to go through their dental treatment with ease and less anxiety. Travelling and helping people being her passion, Esther’s most cherished memories are of her time spent overseas. She has enjoyed volunteering and helping the less fortunate in Uganda. She has also travelled to South Africa, Ukraine, and several other European countries. When not at work or travelling, Esther enjoys spending time with her family and friends, kayaking, snowboarding and most of all playing with her dog Minnie.

Office Manager

Erica
Read Bio
Erica’s passion for dentistry stems from her love of making people smile. Erica has been practicing as a Certified Dental Assistant for the past 10 years. Besides her knowledge and interest in dental procedures and the clinical part of the job, Erica has always been trying to improve efficiency and organization in our clinic. Wanting to know better how things work at the “front end”, she learned the aspects and peculiarities of the receptionist’s job. Her knowledge and experience in clinical dentistry, office administration, treatment planning, her commitment to our patients, loyalty, attention to detail and mentorship of her fellow team members helped her evolve into the role of the Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator. Above all, Erica finds it rewarding seeing people smile with trust and confidence when they leave our office. She is known for her use of ‘dad jokes’ when nothing else works. When asked why she loves working with Valley Centre Dental, she says: “I have complete confidence and trust in the way our clinicians work. Our clinic’s ethics, clinical and cosmetic expertise of our staff and the overall commitment to excellence give me confidence in referring my friends and family to Valley Centre Dental Group. Our office’s involvement within the community of Lynn Valley makes me very proud to be a part of this exceptional team of dental professionals.” Outside of dentistry, Erica volunteers her time in a community garden, travels and enjoys spending time with her husband, son and rescue cat Lux.

Isaa
Read Bio
Isaa Memisevic is our affiliated Registered Denturist. He has strong ties to the North Shore as he was raised in North Vancouver and attended Capilano University studying Philosophy and Sociology. He graduated from the Denturist program at the Vancouver Community College and has been practising as a Denturist since. Isaa owns his own clinic and lab in the Metrotown area. As a service to our patients who have difficulty with mobility, Isaa visits our office regularly. His expertise and knowledge in the field of Removable Dental Prosthetics are adding another crucial component to our philosophy of comprehensive patient care. He works closely with Drs. Bach and Petersen. Our patients find this collaboration very valuable as they get all the information about various treatment options and modalities directly from both, the Dentist and the Denturist, at the same time. Since this partnering has begun, we have had great responses from our patients who are very happy with the removable dentures and level of care they receive from Isaa. We hear compliments about how friendly he is and how he always takes time to answer all the questions. Isaa says that the most satisfying moments for him are when his patients see their brand new, beautifully transformed smile in the mirror for the first time. We enjoy the happy chatting we hear when he is in the office. In the rare occasions when he is not working in the office or laboratory, Isaa enjoys travelling to different tropical locations, playing sports and enjoying the beautiful North Shore.
